As a result of my pre-dawn outing, I was a bit of a tired mess this morning, but my lovely husband was kind enough to let me sleep in for a couple of hours. So very grateful! Even with the sleep, I can't say I was chomping at the bit to run this morning. When I found out that Christy and Elise weren't coming, I thought, "Well, if Adrianne and Finn can't come, I might actually be happy not to go." As usual, things don't work out that way, and in the end, Adrianne convinced me that I would feel better if we got out for the run. And as usual, the run always makes everything feel a hundred times better. Every time I'm talking myself out of a run, I conveniently forget that the worst runs are the ones you back out of.
Thanks so much, Adrianne!! I know that if I hadn't run, I would have kicked myself about it for the rest of the day. And isn't that what Running Moms is all about? From time to time, we all need that reason to get us out the door, or else we may not go at all. I was proof of that today!
Finally a photo of sweet, (not-so) little Finn! You did great today, buddy. |
April 22nd is Good Friday and I'm so excited that we will be welcoming Cristal back to the group! Her ankle and knee are feeling much better and I'm hoping she's had enough rest that the injuries will not recur. Fingers crossed.
If you are planning to join us on Friday, please remember that Frontrunners is observing holiday hours and won't be open until 11am. We will be running at 10am as usual and I hope to see you there!
