Longer runs.

Today was the day. We increased our run intervals from five minutes to eight minutes and increased our run distance from around five kilometres to just over seven kilometres. Today's route was really fun, going out to toward Oak Bay before ducking down into Fairfield and heading back to the store. Check it out here. Our total run time, not including walk breaks, was around forty-three minutes. If I include the breaks, the total time was around forty-eight minutes.

Adrianne was the only other Mom to join Sonja and Haven and I today, so we were a small group, especially considering that Adrianne was running without her son, Finn. It was just a lovely day for a run, with no rain, no wind, a thinly overcast sky and mild temperatures. The pace was casual, giving us plenty of opportunity to chat; my favourite kind of running.

I really hope to see this group grow as we approach the summer and the weather gets even nicer. If you have been thinking of joining us but have any questions or concerns, please contact me anytime. My contact info is located on the Run With Us! page or on the right-hand column of the blog.

Hope to see you soon!

This is what Moms who run without their Babies look like after the run:
relieved that when they call home, everything is OK.

Uh oh... Traffic jam at the water cooler.
